Ike's Visit

Well, Korea has turned from winter's brown to spring's green the past few weeks and it is absolutely beautiful! My bus ride home from Seoul yesterday took me though green valleys and past lush mountains.

Ike has been here the past week and we had a wonderful time together. As always, it was hard to say goodbye yesterday at the airport. Here are the highlights of the trip:
*We met up with Anne and Matt and Stephanie in Busan and had delicious beef and lots of fruit soju.
*We visited the Busan fish market and another "nature park" in Busan.
*We had dinner with my host family.
*He came to school with me one day and we played "Japan Jeopardy" and my students loved him. We also had lunch with the English teachers.
*We visited Suncheon Bay and had some delicious chicken with the Japanese teacher at my school.
*We headed to Jeju island, where we hiked the highest mountain in Korea, got a ride back to town from a very nice couple, rented a scooter, ate some delicious pork BBQ, and got pooped on by birds!
*In Seoul we went to see a Korean dance/music show, toured the DMZ, and met up with another friend from our HS who is in Korea (Abby) and some of Ike's OT friends for Indian food and drinks.
