So the won has done nothing but weaken against the dollar, since July -- that is, when I came here! It was roughly 1000 won = $1, but now it is closer to 1350 won = $1. Ouch! Effectively, I'm taking a 1/3 pay cut when I use my money for anything outside of Korea (aka: international traveling or changing my money back into $$ at the end of the year).Ike, on the other hand, is raking in the dough! The Yen has done nothing but get stronger.
